It was Prince William's turn to make a fashion statement today. As the Royals enjoyed a second day
of the cowboy lifestyle in Calgary today, the prince turned out in exactly same checked shirt he had worn
the previous day. His wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, is the one who normally recycles her outfits, but
the heir to the throne appeared in the same GREen and black plaid shirt to start the city's annual stampede.
He also wore the same denim Levi jeans, belt, boots and rabbit-fur ten gallon hat. As did Kate.In fact,
her only alteration to the previous day's outfit was to wear a slightly different Alice Temperley blouse,
a ?445 number with lace trim aptly named Rodeo. But if fashionistas on tour with the couple felt short-changed,
back home a nation facing a squeeze on household budgets would surely have been impressed.
For the A St. James's Palace spokesman confirmed that Prince William was wearing the same shirt at the
parade as he had done the night before. A source joked: 'He's a bloke'. The Duke and Duchess had the honour
of pressing the button to launch the legendary Calgary Stampede. She roared with laughter as it sparked fireworks,
rockets and brightly coloured ticker tape to fly into the air. The parade is a two-hour celebration through the streets
of the city featuring marching bands, majorettes, floats , cowgirls - and lots of horses. Sitting in their VIP seats
surrounded by bales of hay, the couple looked to be thoroughly enjoying the spectacle. The royals are due to
leave Calgary and fly to Los Angeles this evening. On their arrival, they will be the guests of honour at a
Consular-General Reception held by UK Trade and Investment at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
