JuBOSS Martyn Crute thought it was a real drag going to court - so he dressed in women's clothes.
The boiler installer firm chief donned a striped top, black ankle-length skirt and stilettos after facing a health and safety rap. He changed in the court loo,
hoping he could leave unrecognised. Crute, 48, even flicked a long wig across his face in a bid to hide the stubble and masculine jawline.
But photographers and a TV crew waiting outside saw through the disguise and snapped him as he dashed away.
Crute, director of UK Oil and Gas Ltd, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court for trading for 15 months without registering with gas safety body Corgi. His firm was
said to have put lives at risk due to the poor standard of work in homes. A receptionist rather than an engineer was sent to deal with one complaint. Crute, of
Retford, Notts, admitted a health and safety breach.
He was fined £2,000, ordered to pay £41,000 prosecution costs and banned from being a company director for seven years. His company, based in Horncastle,
Lincs, was fined £6,000.
Judge Sean Morris said: "It is quite clear that on occasions the work was the work of cowboys not professional gas fitters."dge Sean Morris said: "It is quite
